Full of Grace

KINDRED Daily Gospel Reflection
Gospel Reading: Luke 1:26–38 (Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception)
“The angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth… He came to her and said, ‘Hail, full of grace! The Lord is with you.’”
Gospel Reflection: “Full of Grace”
On this solemn feast, we stand in awe at God’s choice of a young woman — simple, humble, available — to carry the Savior of the world. The greeting is startling: “full of grace.” Not because of Mary’s merit, but because of God’s favor.
Her “yes” reminds us that holiness is not about being perfect, but about being open. It’s about surrender: letting God do what only He can do. In her “yes,” we see the power of consent — the power of willing cooperation with the divine will.
As Advent unfolds, let Mary’s openness guide us. Ask the Lord for a willing heart. Not a heart that fixes, but one that receives; not one that resists, but one that surrenders. Let “full of grace” become your own longing — not because of who you are, but because of who God is.
One Thing To Do Today:
Pray the angel’s greeting in your heart: “Hail, full of grace. The Lord is with you.” Let it sink in — and respond with a silent “Yes, Lord — I am yours.”
Closing Prayer:
Mary, vessel of grace, teach me to say “yes” freely. May I receive God’s gift with humility, trust, and surrender — and become a dwelling place for His grace. Amen.
